As a German tech company offering AI-powered education solutions, we operate in a complex regulatory environment. We see compliance not as a hurdle but as the foundation of customer trust. Our goal is to meet and exceed the highest standards for privacy, security, and ethical AI use.

2. Privacy compliance (GDPR)

Compliance with the EU's GDPR is a core part of our company philosophy.

2.1 Data processing in the EU

We store and process your data only in certified data centers within the European Union (Germany) to ensure GDPR's high protection level. Our hosting partners are located in Munich and Frankfurt.

2.2 Data processing (DPA)

As your data processor, we act strictly on your instructions. We have DPAs in place with all sub-processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

2.3 Privacy by Design & by Default

Our systems are designed to be privacy-friendly by default. We collect only the data required to provide our services and delete it when it is no longer needed.

2.4 Data subject rights

We ensure you can exercise your rights to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection at any time - easily and effectively.

3. AI regulation (EU AI Act)

We closely monitor developments around the EU AI Act and have already taken measures to meet its requirements.

3.1 Transparency

We place great importance on transparency. Users are clearly informed when they interact with an AI system. AI-generated responses are labeled as such.

3.2 Risk management

We classify our AI systems according to the AI Act risk categories. Our AI tutors are classified as limited-risk systems, and we fulfill all transparency obligations.

3.3 Human oversight

4.1 Your data belongs to you

Rights to the content you upload remain fully with you. We use your data solely to deliver the services agreed with you.

4.2 No training with customer data

We do not use your content to train our models or third-party AI models. Your data is treated confidentially and not reused for other purposes.

All data is securely hosted on our servers in Germany, ensuring GDPR compliance.
Yes. The Alphabees AI Tutor is GDPR‑compliant and built to meet EU AI Act requirements. We store no personal data and don’t use your data to train models. A GDPR‑compliant data processing agreement (DPA) exists between Alphabees and each AI provider, and we sign a DPA with every customer as well. In line with the EU AI Act, the tutor is used as a supportive learning tool, clearly labeled as AI via a disclaimer banner, and does not make automated decisions with legal or performance consequences.
Yes. Alphabees is the only AI tutor that also works inside the Moodle Mobile App. With our dedicated plugin, learners can use the full AI assistance on the go, right inside their Moodle courses.
